New book: The Tao of Wu
Get your book here or at your favorite book store. Holly is here on March 21 for a wedding or something ;0 - so gonna plan to meet that week to discuss.
From Wikepedia:
The Tao of Wu is the second philosophical book written by prominent Wu-Tang Clan member and principal producer, RZA. It is a sequel to The Wu-Tang Manual.
The book details RZA's own personal path towards enlightenment. In the book he uses Hip-Hop lyrics, autobiographical anecdotes, and parables, to explain how he was simultaneously inspired by Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Bruce Lee, and Islam. His philosophies are listed under seven “Pillars of Wisdom,” which he considers as seven “key turning points in his life” that he hopes to share on the book's readers. The number 7 is symbolic in itself, representing consciousness in numerology, and considered a divine number in several faiths such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Book also details The RZA's attempted murder charge, and various production equipment he uses in the making of albums.
Also, check your email from some insight from Jevin. Happy reading.Monday, January 18, 2010

Hello Readers!?
Boss lady VK says we should plan on meeting next Monday December 14th @ 6PMish upstairs Gingerman, upstairs to discuss our current book - The Book Thief
If we are really meeting, I am in trouble! Time to read, read, read. Meeting request? Is Monday on?
Now taking next book recommendations! Email VK with your suggestions.
So far we have something By Ayn Rand (We The Living, The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged), submitted by Carly. Another poll to come if there are more choices.
I have just read a few pages long, long ago. It was kinda weird. This is supposed to be a book for teens - come on! I can read this one... haha Nando has not attempted to read. We only bought one copy and use it as a coaster by the bed.
Will there be prizes?
