Our Next Book

Our officers (and some votes from our poll) have spoken -- The Road wins. Get your copy today! Oprah's Book Club read it in 2007, so it must be good enough for us. There is also a movie. Tracy says no cheating, but maybe our last meeting could be watching it (after we've read the book of course).

Per VK - Critics have deemed it "heartbreaking," "haunting," and "emotionally shattering." On April 16, 2007, the novel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. (thank u wiki.)

And Holly C. - OMG - I have already read that one and it can be summed up in one word: DEPRESSING. I needed some Prozac and good chick lit after finishing it.
Adam should love it.

BTW - Our Zombie book also made Oprah's list... we may need to re-think our Phonic Phailure name and just join Oprah... hmm...

Still Reading

Yes, I am still reading (kinda). I have picked up my book once or twice since we met and made little progress. I'll get there - still have a couple weeks. You people who are done want something new.
